Anson Braun

Graduate Student

Anson joined the plasma physics PhD program in Fall 2022. Previously, he received his bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Barbara and worked in soft-matter physics. He then completed the Plasma and Fusion Undergraduate Research Opportunities (PFURO) program where he worked to quantify alpha power losses due to toroidal field ripple and neoclassical tearing modes in the upcoming SPARC tokamak. Then participating in SULI for Fall 2021, he worked to compare EPED-NN model results to the large DIII-D experimental pedestal database.
