Undergraduate Student
Maxwell is a first year undergraduate at Columbia studying applied physics. Their research interests include plasma physics and nuclear fusion as well as materials science and engineering. They plan to pursue a graduate degree in plasma physics. Outside of physics, they are pursing a minor in dance and are involved with the Columbia theater community.
Research focus: Max is currently working with fellow undergraduates on the assembly and testing of the CUTE reactor under the guidance of Professor Paz-Soldan and Dr. Hansen.
